men vs. women
In the kingdom of Kush, men and women were considered equals.
For common people, men were merchants, scribes, worked on farms and were village leaders. Women took care of the house and looked after children.
For nobles, women and men could be pharaohs. In fact, there were more women pharaohs than me. Some people think that women had more power in Kush, but everyone has their own opinion.
The only thing women couldn't do in Ancient Kush was be a farming village leader. Farming village leaders were a male who lived in a neighborhood and he was in charge of the farmers in that community and divided up the labor. (Decided who grew what crop, when they worked, etc.)
